Applications for STEM Potential Y12 are now open!

This two-year programme aims to support you in your Y12 and Y13 studies via lectures, subject specific workshops and university application guidance, all of which is underpinned by regular contact with an e-mentor.

There will be a number of contact days when you are expected to attend scheduled events at Imperial College London – these days will be to help you to prepare for your university application including support for your personal statement and mock interview sessions, alongside Masterclasses in the Science and Maths subjects.

In addition, you will be allocated an e-mentor (a current UG or PG student studying at Imperial) who is available to answer any questions you may have regarding university life and Imperial, via the e-mentoring platform. They will be available for regular contact to offer support and advice when you need it during the programme.

In order for us to apply for the programme you will need to fulfil the following criteria:

  • Be in Year 12 from September 2017.
  • Be studying at least 3 A-Levels (or equivalent) including Maths and at least one of Chemistry, Physics & Biology.
  • Have achieved a minimum of 5A and 3B grades in your GCSE’s including at least an A in Maths, AA in Sciences and B in English Language.
  • Be capable of achieving at least two A grades at A-level (or equivalent).

The programme aims to support high achieving, eligible students from backgrounds under-represented in Higher Education.

Your responses will be saved for a week if you choose to complete the form at a later stage but please be aware that for your application to be recorded you must click through to the final question and press the final “Submit form” button to submit your responses. You will receive a confirmation email.
