Banner highlighting the Transition to Zero Pollution Singapore Launch Event. Taking place on 24 November 2020 at 08:00 UK time

This event, co-hosted with the Huanding Consortium and the UK’s Science and Innovation Network, will launch Imperial’s new flagship initiative Transition to Zero Pollution alongside Chinese friends and collaborators.

Part of Imperial’s new Academic Strategy, this initiative aims to advance transdisciplinary approaches to avoid the siloed thinking that has caused issues in the past and take a holistic approach to tackling pollution in all its forms. We are bringing together researchers across Imperial to build new partnerships that converge disciplines, from fundamental science and engineering, systems thinking, human health, new business models, and policymaking.

Given the growing importance of climate change and the environment to both the Chinese and UK governments in a post-Covid world, this event will emphasise the growing opportunities for future collaboration between the UK and China in this important global challenge.
