Diversity in climate innovation series: supporting the next generation of female cleantech pioneers in higher education
How far are we from gender parity in London’s climate innovation space? How can we bring more female students and researchers into the city’s climate positive start-ups? What are the current barriers faced by women in entering climate innovation?
This event is the first of the Diversity in Climate Innovation event series organised as part of London Climate Action Week (26 June – 4 July). The Diversity in Climate Innovation series will showcase the importance of diversity and inclusion in tackling climate change challenges in London and beyond.
This event will start with a panel discussion featuring experts in the area of early-stage climate innovation support in London universities. The panel will explore some of the key barriers faced by early-stage female innovators in London universities, as well as the effectiveness of existing support mechanisms in addressing these innovation barriers. The panel discussion will then be followed by an interactive session with the panel through a Q&A session.
Confirmed speakers:
- Pippa Gawley, Founder at Zero Carbon Capital
- Alae Ismail, Programme Lead at WE Innovate programme, Imperial Enterprise Lab
