The control and elimination of malaria can be impacted by individuals being infected while traveling. Here, we investigate how we can use behavioural data and parasite genomics to understand the connectivity of parasites between different geographic locations. By combining modelling approaches and data from endemic countries, we identify when and where we can leverage both types of information to understand the flow of malaria parasites.
