About Team

How do we see climate change? Most of the time, through graphs, statistics, and diagrams. But to care about the environment, we need to connect with it. We want the world to connect with climate change using photography. The Climate Photography Challenge is a competition aiming to get young people to think about what climate change means to them, and to learn to capture that in a single image. This photography competition, sponsored by RSK , involved online workshops by documentary and portrait photographer, Chris King, followed by an online competition running 1st April – 1st June 2023.

Participants entered their image into one of three categories: ‘People in Nature’, ‘a Hurting Planet’, and ‘a Changing World’, representing various aspects and perspectives of our changing environment. All photos were exhibited in the Flett Theatre, Natural History Museum, following the competition, for participants to come and see their work displayed.
