The Faculty of Medicine's Educational Partnerships Office team at Imperial College London was established in 2010. An experienced team with a broad, global outlook, our expertise comes together in our passion for collaboration, working with partners to design, develop and deliver a wide variety of projects in the field of medical education, including building a new medical school, developing new degree programmes, offering student exchange programmes and providing world-leading clinical placement opportunities.

Professor Neena Modi
Vice-Dean (International Activities) for the Faculty of Medicine
Professor Neena Modi leads on the Faculty of Medicine's international partnership activities in research and education.  Also, Neena Modi is Professor of Neonatal Medicine at Imperial College London and Consultant in Neonatal Medicine at Chelsea and Westminster NHS Foundation Trust. Neena has a national and international profile as a medical leader and clinical scientist.
Mr Martin Lupton 
Vice-Dean (Education) for the Faculty of Medicine
Mr Martin Lupton leads on the Faculty of Medicine's undergraduate and postgraduate education activity. He also works as a consultant obstetrician at Chelsea and Westminster Foundation NHS Trust.
Dr Emma Keeling 
Associate Dean for Educational Partnerships

Emma is the Academic Lead for the Educational Partnerships Office and a General Practitioner. Emma leads the team in developing and building new partnerships and works closely with our current partners. Emma has experience in both undergraduate and postgraduate medical education with focus on curriculum design, development and review, digital learning and transnational education.
Dr Lesa Kearney
Principal Teaching Fellow

Lesa is a principal teaching fellow, having trained at St George’s and worked across other London medical schools with a background in management consulting. Her areas of expertise include curriculum design, clinical skills and simulation, data analysis and strategic planning. She is focused on curriculum development and planning for the new Pears Cumbria School of Medicine.
Dr Jack Haywood

Jack is a Principal Clinical Teaching Fellow. He is a public health doctor currently working across regional and national government functions. Jack has an interest in sustainable healthcare workforce planning, with experience of this in both global north and south settings. In this role, Jack leads projects related to medical school curriculum design, admissions, and social accountability, working closely with academics and professional services colleagues.

Li leads the strategic direction and daily operations of the Educational Partnerships Office (EPO) within the Faculty of Medicine. Working closely with the Associate Dean of Educational Partnerships and senior leadership across the faculty, Li drives the development of meaningful international collaborations that advance the Faculty’s educational and global engagement strategies. With over two decades in international higher education, Li has led global engagement initiatives spanning transnational education (TNE), institutional capacity building, and student and staff mobility programmes.  Li's expertise lies in aligning institutional goals with global opportunities, fostering cross-cultural collaborations, and driving sustainable and impactful growth.

Trish Brown
Head of New Faculty Establishment

Trish Brown is an expert in quality assurance of medical programmes, STEM education development, and governance of education provision. She is Operational Lead for Quality Assurance at the Pears Cumbria School of Medicine and Operational Lead for a new MSci in Medical Science and Innovation. Previously, she directed operations at QMUL’s Malta campus and managed surgical training at the Royal College of Surgeons. Trish holds an MEd from Imperial College, a teaching qualification from Stirling, and is a Senior Fellow of Advance HE. Her research explores communities of practice in clinical education. She co-authored a chapter on safety in medical education (RSC, 2020).

Penny Kharroubi

As manager of the Collaborative Partnerships team, Penny oversees all collaboration activity and works with Roxy and Jo to ensure a high level of service is consistently provided in all aspects of the team's partnerships. She specialises in working with and understanding the needs of new partners to scope and plan their projects, so you can get in touch with her if you'd like to discuss an idea or potential partnership.
Roxy Hughes
Educational Partnerships Officer

Roxy provides project management support to collaborative partnership projects and has qualified in project management as a PRINCE2 Agile Practitioner. Roxy also coordinates the student activities for students from Imperial’s collaborative partners, including clinical elective programmes and exchanges. Roxy has experience working at three Universities in a variety of roles, predominantly focusing on transnational education and quality assurance.
Jo Poon

Jo works closely with our new and existing partner medical schools to support governance-related activity including the alignment and implementation of academic regulations, policies, quality assurance and committee approval. 
Angela Rochester

Angela is the key point of contact for the office. Duties include managing the London Office of LKCMedicine; coordinating diaries, making sure the office has the resources it needs to run efficiently and dealing with any financial matters including ordering, purchasing and invoices. In addition, Angela coordinates domestic and international travel arrangements for collaborative activity.
