Imperial Partner Excellence Programme (International)
Becoming a medical school partner opens up opportunities for your students to study with us. Through our Imperial Partnership Excellence Programme (International), we provide a specialist enhanced personalised experience to your students before, during and following their year of study on our iBSc programme.
This includes a partner-oriented tailored approach to preparing your students for study with us, support with visas, accommodation, English language, academic writing, an orientation programme for adjusting to London life and ongoing welfare and academic support.
Within the Faculty of Medicine’s numerous international student societies and support channels we encourage our partner iBSc students to explore the myriad available opportunities whilst being an international student at Imperial.
Our Bespoke Partnership Arrangements
Through the Imperial Partner Excellence Programme (International), we offer dedicated support arrangements to enhance the experience of iBSc students who join us from our Partner Institutions.
We create a bespoke programme for each international partner medical school, which is designed and adapted to meet the specific needs and priorities of the partner.
Our tailored support starts from the initial set up of an iBSc partnership and includes:
Our bespoke partnership arrangements
- Evaluation of the partner’s curriculum
- Regulations and governance
- Pathway selection advice
- Applicant journey
- Preparatory course
- Ongoing student support
Evaluation of the partner’s curriculum
- To optimise successful outcomes for students, our medical education specialists will carefully review the curriculum of the partner’s medical degree to ensure there is alignment with the iBSc framework.
- This insight also equips our team with an understanding of the academic journey of the incoming iBSc students and helps to shape the tailored support we will provide in preparing them for the iBSc course.
Regulations and governance
As part of the initial set up process, our partners receive dedicated support in navigating any regulatory matters that may arise in the students’ transition from the partner’s medical degree to the iBSc at Imperial.
Pathway selection advice
- Our academic team provides tailored pathway advice, informed by the evaluation of the partner’s medical degree.
- We deliver iBSc presentations to your students to introduce them to the range of pathways on offer and students will have the opportunity to individually connect with our pathway teams to help refine their pathway preferences.
Applicant journey
Our Partner Institutions receive dedicated support from the Educational Partnerships Office through each stage of the pre-arrival process; from preparing the iBSc application through to considering student accommodation options and supporting the visa application.
Preparatory course
Prior to the start of the iBSc, students joining from our Partner Institutions will receive a bespoke preparatory course which is designed to help them adapt to the new learning and teaching environment.
Key features include:
