Location: Hammersmith campus, Victor Phillip Dahdaleh (VPD) building, 2nd floor, lab VPD 206.

Can detect particles in the 7nm to 1000 nm range, but works best in the 10nm to 100nm range for gold nanoparticles, and in the 40nm to 200nm range for biological particles.

This instrument is equipped with two collinear excitation lasers: blue (488nm) and red (640nm). It measures particle sizes and quantifies concentration based on light side scatter (SSC) from the blue laser. A maximum of 2 fluorescence emission signals can also be detected from fluorophores excited by the blue and/or red laser.
