- All expertise levels are welcome
- Practical training is mandatory for first-time users of the facility, adjusted according to previous flow cytometry experience
- Analysis equipment is self-use after training
- Cell sorting is primarily performed by facility staff
- Facility staff can provide assistance with experiment design, troubleshooting, and data analysis
Course: Introduction to flow cytometry
The Hammersmith Flow Cytometry Facility is offering free "Introduction to Flow Cytometry" sessions.
This in-person classroom-style 3 hour course provides a general overview of conventional and spectral flow cytometry. It is suitable for both beginner and intermediate users. Each session will have only 10-12 participants to better allow for questions and discussions.
Topics include:
Flow cytometry basic concepts
Compensation and spectral unmixing
Panel design and controls
Data analysis
Instrument setup
Fluorescent stains
Links to further educational resources
Sessions in 2026 will be scheduled based on interest.
