Join us for a series of student-led online seminars bringing together experts in computational biology, bioinformatics, and AI/deep learning for healthcare applications.

The goal of this series is to support researchers to ensure their analyses are rigorous, robust, and reproducible by discussing the reasoning behind good analytical choices. It focuses on answering the common question, “How should I analyse this data, and why?” by emphasizing not just how to do an analysis, but why does a particular approach make sense.

Each session will feature a guest speaker discussing cutting-edge and/or routinely used methodologies, current challenges and best practices shaping the future of data-driven biology and medicine.

When: Every other Tuesday, 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm (UK time)
starting 3 March 2026.

Where: Online (registration link below)

Who should attend: The content is aimed at an intermediate audience – people who already have some familiarity with basic bioinformatics and computational biology concepts, along with basic coding skills.

What to expect:

  • Talks from experts across industry and academia
  • Discussions on responsible and effective applications of toolkits in the computational biology/bioinformatics space
  • Insights into emerging computational methods
  • Opportunities for Q&A
