Applications for the Revolutions in Biomedicine Summer School 2023 courses are now open!

Applying for one course

If you are applying for only one of the Revolutions in Biomedicine courses, please follow the step-by-step guide for applying below or download our Revolutions in Biomedicine Summer Schools How to Apply Guide.

Apply for both courses

If you are applying for both courses or have decided that you would also like to apply for another one of our courses, you will need to create and submit two application forms. In order to simplify the process, if you apply for both courses, your details will be automatically completed on your second application form. Please check that these details are correct before submitting.

Step-by-step guide on how to apply

The below guide will help you through the application process:

1. Create an account

Visit the online application portal - Imperial Gateway and create an account using an email address that you check regularly. Activate your account by confirming your email address.

2. Create an application

On your ‘My Account’ dashboard click ‘Create a New Application’ 
Select ‘Short Courses and Visiting Student (Non Degree)'
Course Type: Visiting Student (Non Degree), Summer School 
Based on which course you would like to apply for, from the drop down menu select either:
Revolutions in Biomedicine on Campus Summer School
or
Revolutions in Biomedicine Summer School (Online) 
Entry Term: Late Summer 2022-2023
Click ‘Submit’ 

3. Fill in your personal details

You will now be asked to provide your proposed studies and personal information. 
Mode of study: Full Time (please note we do not have a part time option for these courses)
About You: please provide your details as accurately as possible. Any errors could result in a delay in your application process

Visa & Immigration -  for the on campus summer school, please ensure you have checked the Imperial visa webpages and the British government visa website guidance about whether you need a visa. 

4. Fill in additional information

Higher Education Experience
You are required to provide your Higher Education background. If you are unsure whether you meet the requirements, please visit our online and on campus summer schools entry requirements pages.

If you cannot find your institution from the list, please tick "I cannot find my institution" and enter your higher education name in the "unlisted institution" text box below.

English Language Ability
All Revolutions in Biomedicine courses are taught in English.
If you select the option 'I think I am exempt', please ensure you have read and understood the English Language Requirements for the course you are applying for. If you do not provide the necessary information and documents with your application, this could result in a delay in processing your application.

5. Submission

Please be aware that once you have submitted your application, you will not be able to change your course selection(s), or make further edits to your application. If you submit the application and then identify an error, you will need to withdraw your submitted application and start again.

6. Supporting documents

Once you have submitted your application, you will be automatically redirected back to the Imperial Gateway homepage to then upload your supporting documents.

Your application will only be considered 'complete' if you provide the relevant evidence that demonstrates how you meet our academic and English language requirements. Failure to do so could mean you lose out on the Earlybird discount (if eligibile) or even render your application invalid.  

7. Tracking your application

Using the login details you entered when creating your account you can login back to your Imperial gateway account. Here you will be able to track your application status.
