
Supporting UK Neonatal Units, Networks and NHS Trusts to improve the quality of care for newborns through research
The Neonatal Data Analysis Unit (NDAU) was established to improve the quality of operational clinical data captured at the point of clinical care and promote their best use to support neonatal services and facilitate research. The NDAU analyse data for the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health National Neonatal Audit Programme (NNAP).
The NDAU is led by a Steering Board. Core NDAU staff are a manager, data manager, data analyst and statistician. The team includes Clinical Research Fellows, PhD and MD students
The work of the NDAU is conducted with NHS Trust and Research Ethics approval as required. The NDAU complies with the National Statistics Practice and Protocol on Data Access and Confidentiality.
