Providing resources that support change initiatives across the College, ensuring a coordinated approach to their delivery
To help the College fulfil its strategic mission, we provide professional support, consistent processes and appropriate technology for all of our staff and students. We aim to reduce the amount of time that academic staff are required to spend on administrative activities, and ensure our support teams are valued by all who use their services.
The Strategic Programmes and Change team is working through defined work streams and projects while maintaining engagement with the College community. These include the Deans from all the Faculties, Faculty Operating Officers, Heads of Departments, Support Services Process Owners and Departmental Operations Managers.
The team are taking careful account of the learnings from previous change programmes at the College and from other universities that are engaged in similar activity.
The OPUS programme is the next step and evolution of the Service Transformation project (ERP). This involves a team of dedicated Imperial business SMEs and facilitates them to deliver on our ambition to improve our HR, Finance and Research Administration processes and technology. To support our operations OPUS aim is twofold: replacing ICIS, the College’s current enterprise resource planning (ERP) System and redefining how we all work and interact across all areas of HR, Procurement, Finance and Research Administration.
The Strategic Programmes and Change team is currently supporting Imperial's participation in the UniForum Programme, developed by Cubane Consulting. UniForum is a data-gathering exercise on support services-related activities – from HR, IT and Facilities to Student Support and Teaching Administration - providing member institutions with a global benchmark.
White City and Hammersmith Programme
The White City and Hammersmith Programme is centred on the College’s 20-acre development in West London. The programme is a significant and meaningful investment that brings together world-class researchers, business and partners from academia to work, share ideas and turn cutting edge research into benefits for society.
