Research into the general aspects of nonlinear buckling theory is led at Imperial by Professor Ahmer Wadee with a focus on analytical modelling of the behaviour of structural components under a variety of different loading scenarios. Post-buckling behaviour is paramount and the more complex instabilities from interactive buckling leading to localization are particularly focused upon. There has been considerable work on the following topics:

Since then, both Stylianos and Christina have both successfully completed their doctorates and graduated officially in May 2011. Christina and Stylianos are now lecturing at TU Berlin and Cyprus University of Technology respectively.
