Welcome to Falmouth & Keogh

Welcome to Falmouth & Keogh Halls! Falmouth Hall is named after the 8th Viscount Falmouth, chairman of the College’s governing body from 1947-1952. This was a time of great change and expansion for the College and Falmouth was the chairman of the Finance and Executive Committee at Imperial for 25 years.

Keogh Hall is named in honour of Alfred Keogh, 2nd Rector of Imperial College. Keogh was a decorated medical doctor in the British Army.

Meet the Falmouth & Keogh Warden Team

Dr Celeste van den Bosch

Warden - Falmouth 5th Floor

Welcome to Falmouth and Keogh Halls! I’m Celeste, your Warden here at F&K, and am very pleased to welcome you to your new home for the year. I live in the hall with my partner, Christian, and our son, Thijs (unless you’re Dutch, it might be helpful to know this is pronounced like “Tice”, rhyming with nice). Outside the hall, I work in the Provost’s Office in Planning & Insight, based in the “blue cube”, where I manage the University’s Research Excellence Framework activities.

At F&K, I lead the subwarden and hall senior team who are here to help you make your first year at Imperial an enjoyable, safe and successful experience. We’re a friendly bunch, and we’re here to help with everything from settling in and finding your way around, to providing support throughout the year.

Living in halls is a brilliant opportunity to meet new people, try new things, and become part of a vibrant community. I should know as I’ve lived in various Imperial halls for over 10 years. I invite you to get involved with our community, look out for each other, and make the most of everything this year has to offer.

Meet the F&K Sub-Wardens

Peter Bryan

Falmouth 1st Floor

Hello, my name is Peter, and I am one of the Subwardens in Falmouth. I’m here to help make your first year a great experience and ensure everything goes smoothly.

I am in the third year of my PhD in Bioengineering and am mostly based at the White City campus. Outside of work I spend my time cycling, going to events in London and white water kayaking with the Imperial Canoe Club.

Throughout the year you can come to me with any issues or concerns and also anything you are celebrating. I hope you enjoy your time at Falmouth and don’t forget to say hi if you see me around!

Greta Horvathova

Falmouth 4th Floor

Welcome to Falmouth and Keogh!

My name is Greta, and I am one of your Subwardens, here to help make your first year at university an enjoyable experience.

I’m a 2nd year PhD student based in the EEE department, and my research area is in Computational Neuroscience and Machine Learning. I’m originally from Slovakia, but I’ve lived in the UK for over 8 years now – so I’ve got plenty of tips and tricks on how to make the most of living here!

Outside of my research, I spend most of my free time studying languages and reading. I am also always happy to chat - so if you have any issues or questions, please feel free to reach out!

Looking forward to meeting you all!

Thomas Charlton

Keogh M Floor

Hi, I’m Tom! I’m a PhD researcher studying Nuclear Reactor Physics in the MechEng Dept working in advanced neutronics modelling. I’m originally from the UK and completed my undergraduate degree at Imperial College. I’m always happy to share advice about university life, London, or living in the UK.

Meet the F&K Hall Seniors

Hisham Khatib

Hello everyone, and welcome to Falmouth and Keogh! I’m Hisham, a third-year Electrical and Electronic Engineering student from Jordan.

This is my second year as a Hall Senior and my third year living in F&K, so I know the place well. When I’m not drowning in coursework, you'll likely find me working on Imperial's Solar Plane Initiative or with AIESEC. I also try to make it to the gym regularly and hope to see some of you there!

Feel free to approach me with any questions you have, whether it’s about navigating life at Imperial or you just want to chat. On a less academic note, I'm your go-to guy for London restaurant recommendations. If you need a great spot for any kind of food, I can definitely help you out.

I also take foosball pretty seriously, so consider this an open challenge to anyone feeling brave. Looking forward to an awesome year with you all!
Marianne Peuch

Hi, welcome to your new home for the year! My name is Marianne. I’m French and a 3rd Year Chemistry student. My hobbies include playing electric guitar, badminton, painting, running and I love cats! I’m super excited to meet you and hope you’re looking forward to living here and studying at Imperial. Please don’t hesitate to talk to me about anything, I’m always happy to chat with you :)

Amish Hurry

Hey! I'm Amish, a second year Aeronautical Engineering student. I'm Mauritian but have lived in the UK my whole life.  I like to spend my free time going on runs, learning guitar and listening to music. As one of your Hall Seniors, I am overjoyed  to welcome you to the best Hall in Southside and I sincerely hope you enjoy your first year here at Imperial College London. If you need to talk to anyone or if you need advice, I am more than happy to help and I look forward to meeting all of you this September!!

Arthur Yen

Hey everyone, welcome to Falmouth and Keogh. My name is Arthur, a second year studying Materials Science and Engineering. I'm a Taiwanese Californian who grew up in Hong Kong and Japan. When I'm not studying or in class, I love to play a range of sports (pool, soccer, american football, etc) and music. I currently represent Imperial in basketball and a champion in fencing, so feel free to knock on my door if you want to play a quick game or a jam session with a band, I am always down for that. If there is any question you have or anything you need, I am open for a chat or just to hangout. I hope that you will find this year to be the best year and that we will have lots of fun in the hall. I look forward to meeting you all in the fall.

Kamilla Tleuova

Hi everyone! My name is Kamilla, and I’m a third-year Civil Engineering student. I grew up in Kazakhstan and moved to the UK for university. This is my first time being a hall senior, so I’m really excited to organize events and welcome you to Falmouth & Keogh and Imperial. In my free time, I enjoy painting, reading, and learning new things. I also like exploring London whenever I’m not studying. The first year is the best time to try out new things and meet new people. I am looking forward to meeting you all in September !
