Dr Yu Zhu completed his PhD in the Department of Chemical Engineering at Imperial College London. His doctoral research aimed to provide deeper insights into the haemodynamics of novel endografts developed for the treatment of complex aortic diseases, including aortic arch aneurysms and thoracoabdominal aortic aneurysms. His work also involved a comprehensive evaluation of flow and biomechanical conditions in post-surgical type A aortic dissections using state-of-the-art computational methods.
Research Interests
My current research interests are using computational models to predict progressive aortic dilatation following type A aortic dissection surgical repair.
