There are no further sessions taking place this academic year. Course dates for 2026-27 will be available to book from late September.

This course will introduce you to the different requirements for lectureship applications, including information as to what to include in your CV, cover letter, research and teaching statements.  

It will also cover how you can highlight your evidence of esteem and successes beyond research and teaching.  

This course is aimed at postdocs and fellows, but there are a limited number of spaces for PGRs. 

Aims

  • To introduce the key requirements for lectureship/assistant professor applications
  • To provide information on what to include in CVs and research/teaching/supporting statements  
  • To give ideas and highlight achievements and contributions beyond research and teaching for your application

Prerequisites

To make the most of this course we encourage participants to have attended the Research Vision and Academic CVs session.

If you require your camera to be off as a workplace adjustment, please let us know in advance so that we can make the tutor/facilitator aware.
