The intensive nature of research has many challenges which can result in subsequent stress affecting wellbeing and mental health. The research environment can also cause researchers to experience Impostor Phenomenon which research has shown can impact on perception of achievements and abilities.
This workshop helps identify stressful incidents, your responses to these and potential coping strategies. It examines impostor phenomenon and strategies to challenge this.
Stress-management techniques are practiced and an individual action plan is developed to enhance your wellbeing.
This blended course has pre-course activities to complete in your own time and course activities to engage with during the live course: you will receive the credit by participating in all pre-course and course activities.
Pre-course activities (duration about 20 mins) will prepare you for the live session. Live sessions are available on different dates as online interaction or as an in-person workshop (both 3 hrs).
Post course activities will aid in reviewing and action planning.
This course is open to Research Degree Students, MRes, Postdocs & Research Fellows.
