Pride month

Pride takes place every June and celebrates LGBTQ+ people and communities. Pride commemorates the Stonewall riots of June 1969 in New York.

Summer of Pride photo competition

Open 1 June - 31 August 2025

The first ever Imperial Pride Month photo competition! This year's theme is SUMMER OF PRIDE 2025 - capturing moments of celebration, protest, love, and community, whether out and about, at Pride and other events, or in daily life. Photos can be of any style - portrait, documentary, artistic, abstract, etc.

LGBTQIA+ Entrepreneurs: Panel Discussion and Networking

The Imperial Enterprise Lab is hosting a panel discussion and networking event celebrating LGBTQIA+ entrepreneurs. Hear from the panellists sharing their experiences and journeys as LGBTQIA+ entrepreneurs. Open to Imperial students, staff, and alumni!

LGBTQ+ inclusion and mental health training

17 & 19 June 2025, 10.00 - 13.00

Online

This course allows you to gain insight and skills in assessing and addressing the needs of LGBTQ+ staff/students with mental health issues. You will also gain confidence in dealing with heterosexism, homophobia, biphobia, and transphobia. The course is split into two parts - you must attend both 3-hour sessions (6 hours in total) to complete this course.

LGBTQ+ Allies Network Summer Social

The Departments of Brain Sciences LGBTQ+ Allies Network and School of Public Health are organising an informal networking/social event in the White City North Campus Garden - with a wet day contingency plan for the foyer of the School of Public Health building! Join us and get to know the LGBTQ+ Allies community at in a relaxed and informal setting. Food will be provided, or you can bring your lunch with you. EVERYONE is welcome to attend!

Green the Rainbow at Imperial's Secret Garden

Join us for a special event in the Secret Garden led by Re:Gen, a student-led initiative to protect and expand Imperial's green spaces. We'll be painting a brand-new shed and getting our hands dirty with a variety of gardening tasks to help this hidden gem thrive. It’s a great chance to connect with others, celebrate our community, and make a lasting, green impact. No experience needed—just bring your energy and a willingness to help out!

Previous years

A range of events have taken place for Pride Month, including talks, social meet ups from Imperial 600, training sessions, and film screenings such as LIVING OUR LIVES, a journey across cultures to discover stories born from the adversities faced by LGBT+ people of the world, from director David Luis Perez Magan, Colourist in Imperial's Ed Tech department.
