Membership Changes
Important price changes coming into effect from 1 September
From 1 September 2023, our membership prices will be increasing.
Each of our memberships is subsidised by the College and, as with many departments across the institution, we have been asked to make savings and increase our revenue. Due to a combination of inflation, rising costs and the need to decrease our deficit, we will be increasing our prices as of 1 September 2023.
The fees you pay have always been reinvested into sport and together with the fixed annual College subsidies, are used to cover the day-to-day running costs of our facilities. By implementing these price increases, and reducing our subsidy, it means funds can be released for investment in other areas within College.

We understand that price increases are never welcome news. We have kept the increase as low as we can to minimise any negative impact.
We also recognise that cost can be a barrier to physical activity. To ensure everyone has access to physical activities, we will be making our Just Move programme free from 1 September 2023. Just Move is our cross-campus, non-competitive physical activity membership that offers access to a range of activities and sessions in a friendly and social environment.
In line with our terms and conditions, you are able to cancel your current membership in light of these changes. If you wish to do so, please let us know in writing by Monday 18 August, either by contacting us via ASK or sending us an email. If you do not contact us by this date, the price of your membership will increase in accordance with this notice.
