The six College Processes apply to all projects greater than £150,000 and are described briefly below. Please follow the links to the different procedures underlying each Process.

Project Management

Project Management covers the tasks which ensure that the right solution is delivered to address the right business requirements. This process ensures that a focus is maintained on the business case and requirements through each project stage.
Paper work

Evaluation and approval

The Evaluation and approval process provides control over the project tasks which include reviews and approvals at each stage. These include reviews, design freezes and project approvals through which the project tracks progress.

Design Management

Design Management translates the client requirements contained within the business case and project brief into an appropriate solution. The process covers the development of a solution in a structured and coordinated manner.

Cost Management

The Cost Management process ensures predictability and cost control for the project. It includes development (capital) and operational lifecycle costs.
Abstract IT equipment

Procurement Management

The procurement of all external resources in order to translate the requirements into a design and finished product. This involves developing work breakdown structures, contract strategy, supplier selection and assessment and contract monitoring to ensure a cost effective solution for the development phase.

Health and Safety

The Health and Safety process ensures compliance with Health and Safety legislation, Construction (Design Management) Regulations 2015 and College Health and Safety Policies. It also covers the tasks associated with compliance with environmental standards and policy.
