I am a Research Postgraduate (Ph.D. Candidate) @ Department of Chemical Engineering, Imperial College London. I hold an MEng in Biomedical Engineering with First Class Honours from the Department of Bioengineering (2019 - 2023), with two years of research experience at the Cardiovascular Biomechanics and AI Laboratory (2021 - 2023). The title of his MEng thesis is "Surrogate Modelling of Fluid Dynamics within Various Vascular Geometries with Physics-Informed Neural Networks" (June 2023).

Research Interests

My research focuses on cardiovascular biofluid/solid mechanics, with particular interests in the complexities of biomechanical behaviours associated with aortic-related pathologies (e.g., aortic dissection) and advanced plication strategies (e.g., TEVAR). With the assistance of artificial intelligence, the robustness and effectiveness of cardiovascular biomechanics computation via computational fluid dynamics (CFD) and Finite Element Analysis (FEA) will be fully realised, enabling a better bridge between clinical practices and engineering.

My past research highlighted the patient-specific modelling of flow dynamics within the malformed foetal left ventricular structures through the deployment of a motion-tracking algorithm and CFD. I also explored the expressivity of physics-informed machine learning in fluid computation within the idealised parametric geometries.
