“Thomas’s time in both Sunshine Room and Marine Room was simply perfect. When he first joined EYEC as a 9-month-old who had never been in the UK, he experienced his first social environment beyond his immediate family, with Jennifer as his key person.
When he returned post-pandemic, having attended nursery in Spain without exposure to English, we were nervous about his settling in. We could not have been more relieved that he joined Marine Room and immediately felt safe, stimulated, entertained, and part of a community. He would often ask to go to nursery on weekends because he loved his friends, teachers, toys, and the outdoor space.
Thomas truly flourished in the 9 months he spent at EYEC, going from not speaking any English to speaking fluently, making friends, and developing a strong bond with his teachers, particularly Csilla.

“I was very impressed that ideas of great pedagogues, ie: John Dewey’s, Flaubert’s and Montessori’s, were part of Sunflower room’s everyday practice led by Ken and Andrea, who have set an exemplary model of operation. The daily activities display a truly pedagogical mode of learning. The kids’ leadership roles are encouraged through play and creative activities, and the results are so rewarding.
I was impressed by the exhibits Liz-Anne showed me, where learning-by-doing and problem-solving were actively embraced by my grandson Harry and his peers. The nursery has been fantastic for Sarah and her parents. We’ve always felt she has had the best of care from the team at EYEC and dealing with the administration side of things has been easy to work with and we’ve always felt this has been done with a human touch. The catering has always been very good, and the catering team has always been very friendly. Sunshine room seems like such a long time ago, but I remember the care and attention given by Sarah’s keyworker (Maria) and how much she enjoyed going to nursery, after the setting in weeks, which were not very easy for her. Sarah moved to Poppy room and settled well but unfortunately; she was not there for very long due to the pandemic. She then joined Meadow room after the lockdown and she developed well there, and the staff were all excellent and dealt well with her. Sunflower/Marine room was where we saw Sarah really begin to grow up and become more disciplined and confident. Csilla and her team did amazingly well with her, and she really loved going to nursery. We’ve really treasured our children's time at EYEC and would like to express our thanks to all the staff there for their efforts. - Jana and Duncan

My daughter has been attending Early Years for just over one a half years now. She absolutely loves it and is so happy there – it feels like a second home to her. The nursery has a lovely, warm and inviting culture, which was something really important to us when choosing a nursery. The settling in was quick and the staff made it feel stress free. My daughter has now moved to the toddlers room and again, they all made her feel so welcome! Every day there is a new activity or experience planned and she seems to be really thriving from the variety. All of the staff are so nurturing and supportive and they provide her with so much care, attention and positivity. Our regular catch-ups with her key worker are informing and reassuring and I have always found the key workers to be very communicative. The general communications from the team at EYEC are also exemplary and the admin team are super-efficient. We feel so lucky to have access to such a great place and are very grateful to the team at EYEC! - Florence

My daughter started at 10months and the struggle of leaving her with new people was made so much easier by the lovely caring team that worked in her room and the supporting management team. As a baby born during lockdown, she really struggled to socialise at first but through loving guidance, support, and patience the team were fantastic in helping her (and us) feel more confident and at ease. I have found all the staff, and especially her key workers, amazing as she moved through the different rooms . The communication the team has with the parents is beyond brilliant and they always keep us in the loop about everything that goes on during her day. They take the time to truly know the children and create bespoke learning environments for them to nurture their individual needs. The facilities are also great and there’s so much for the little ones too do (especially in the brilliant garden). I feel confident that my daughters in the best hands, and I appreciate the methodological teaching and learning approaches that are regularly reviewed and revised to help structure her learning in a fun and stimulating way. I can’t praise EYEC enough! Theo started during the pandemic at 14 months old when parents weren’t allowed to attend settle in sessions. I was so nervous leaving my pandemic baby for the first time and I expressed this to nursery management. They were so responsive and so understanding that they arranged for me to have a tour after hours so that I could see the environment that Theo would be in. Tracy was so calm and reassuring that it immediately made me feel at ease. We were sent videos of the nursery and the educators in Theo’s room which was also fantastic as it allowed us to give Theo a lovely introduction to the nursery. We had meetings with his key worker before he started, and he had a chance to meet her via video call. Theo has now been attending EYEC for a year and a half and I can honestly say he loves it. He thrived in the baby room and made a fantastic transition to the toddler room too. All of the educators are highly experienced, extremely knowledgeable and you can tell that they really do love the children that they look after. The communication with parents has been wonderful with regular newsletters, events (albeit virtual mostly due to Covid), feedback about Theo’s day and development – I could go on listing the amazing ways they get us parents involved. I wouldn’t want Theo to be anywhere else. Such a fun, stimulating and enriching environment. A fantastic way for him to start lifelong learning. – Tabitha
The staff is highly motivated, well trained, and full of love and energy for the children. You can see repeated proof of this every morning at the entrance! Whenever I think of my children during the day I smile because I know they are in the best hands possible. When they come back, they are full of excitement about the day they’ve had. My daughter has attended EYEC since she was just over 1 year’s old, and will be leaving to go to school this September. She has grown and developed so much during these years, and the care, support, and enjoyment from EYEC she – and we as parents – have had as she has gone from baby, to toddler, to little girl has been truly fantastic – even through the pandemic’s worst. Staff at EYEC go above and beyond, with the individual child’s specific needs at the forefront of everything, and I never hesitate to recommend EYEC to any colleague who asks about it. – Kim
