Supporting children’s social and emotional development, needs and wellbeing

Change4life Is a helpful resource to support families in finding ‘Easy ways to eat well and move more’.  Change4life offers families practical advice and tips on supporting parents mental health, interactive games to play with your children, a sugar calculator and fruit and veg boost plans.

The Change4Life service aims to ensure that children, young people and families across Kensington and Chelsea and Westminster are supported to be healthy and happy in the communities where they live, learn and play.

The Change4Life service supports expectant parents, children and young people aged 0-19 (or 25yrs for young people with special educational needs or disabilities (SEND)), and their families to eat well and keep active.

Change4Life Healthy Lifestyle clubs provides a five-week programme to expectant parents, children, young people and families in Kensington and Chelsea and Westminster.

Neighbourhood projects is part of the Change4Life Service’s approach to tackling health inequalities and increasing positive health outcomes, Change4Life Neighbourhood Projects take place in three wards across Kensington and Chelsea and Westminster. 

 

Healthy Start and vitamin D

Healthy Start programme – Some pregnant women, women with a child under 12 months and children aged up to four years maybe eligible to receive Healthy Start vouchers every week to spend on milk, frozen, fresh and tinned pulses, and infant formula milk and you will also be entitled to free Healthy Start vitamins.
