Science takes on (and hopefully takes down) crime at this latest Imperial public exhibition of fun science and interactive research demonstrations. Join teams pioneering new fingerprint imaging, building crime scene scanning robots and analysing human hairs to link illegal drug use to death.
Criminal Investigations is the latest in Imperial College’s Fringe series of public evening events exploring the livelier side of science. Based on the College’s ground-breaking research, the Fringe programme runs throughout the year to give our friends and supporters an opportunity to meet our researchers and find out more about our work.
What’s happening?
At Criminal Investigations you will be able to:
Collect crime scene evidence by operating our own Robotic detective called De NIRO and the Dyson School of Design Engineering’s Petar Kormushev

Grow your own fingerprint bacteria with researchers investigating the microbes that call us their home
