This introductory workshop is designed for NHS staff who are inexperienced in teaching undergraduate medical students in clinical settings and those who have not attended comparable teaching and learning workshops before. It identifies the challenges of teaching in opportunistic settings such as on the wards, in clinic and in theatre and explores strategies to increase teacher effectiveness.
