Imperial academic users: VAT exemption is automatic. Grant codes are charged directly through PPMS FLOW every month.

External academic users: It may be necessary to submit an additional form to confirm VAT exemption. Invoices are sent out on an agreed schedule.

* Some or all of these prices are expected to increase by 20-30% later in 2026.

  • Internal rates are not the values to be used for grant costing. The values to use are in the published Charge Out List: Costing a Proposal. Please also consult your Research Office
  • General assistance and advice is free of charge
  • Practical training on analysers and FACSMelody sorter is charged at the normal autonomous usage rate without additional charges
  • Basic training to operate the MSD and Bio-Plex equipment is free of charge, but specific protocol training for MSD and Bio-Plex assays is not provided
  • Invoices are calculated using both the calendar bookings and the login time tracked on the cytometer computer (PPMS tracker)
  • Late cancellations incur fees if the time slot is not filled by another user
  • If users login late, the time booked in the PPMS calendar will still be charged, unless that time was filled by the previous user
  • If users logout late, the charge is increased accordingly
  • The PPMS tracker automatically reassigns the cost of overrun time from the booked user to the user actually logged in

Non-academic external users are also welcome, but please contact the facility to enquire about current non-academic rates (expect >2x academic rates).
