Vascular Simulators
In collaboration with SiMPEDIA, an Imperial College London spinout, the Skills Programme has developed several vascular surgery simulators including abdominal aortic aneurysm, carotid endarterectomy and dialysis access forearm for ST5 and ST6 colorectal trainees.
Designed with expert input from educationalists and expert vascular surgeons, the models feature anatomically accurate vasculature, supporting plaque removal and compatibility with stent-graft placement. These details create a high-fidelity training tool that replicates the complexity of real surgical practice while providing a safe and repeatable learning environment.
