Behind the scenes
Our empty shop unit in a prime position in the Kings Mall in Hammersmith.
The first step was to install vinyl signage on the shop front.
The interior was a large white, empty shell and it took the hard work of a talented and enthusiastic team of people to turn it into The Heart and Lung Convenience Store.
Shop designer, Chris and his assistants Lucas and Anthony built bespoke shop aisles and the ‘Skype A Professor’ photobooth.
Shop assistant Emma, painting the shop counter.
Shop assistants Raghavendra and Joanna making up flatpack furniture.
We spent a lot of time dying pasta shapes for the Microbe Mix installation.
Games designer, Rob installing the Heart and Lung Lottery game.
Installation designer, Emily putting the finishing touches to the Microbe Mix.
Graphic designer Annie, making the labels for the Medicine Cabinet.
Lead science collaborator Sara and her husband Trevor, making up products for the convenience store.
