Digital study advances monitoring of pulmonary hypertension through mobile app

Our researchers are part of an international study using a mobile app to track heart health in real time, generating large-scale data to improve understanding of pulmonary arterial hypertension and support earlier detection and better management of vascular disease.

The vascular system plays a central role in human health, regulating blood flow, inflammation and coagulation. Our research focuses on understanding how vascular function is maintained in health and how it becomes disrupted in disease.

We investigate the molecular, cellular and physiological mechanisms that underpin vascular biology, with a particular focus on conditions including atherosclerosis, vascular inflammation and pulmonary hypertension. This includes studying endothelial biology, immune interactions, platelet function and vascular remodelling, as well as the circulating factors that influence disease progression.
