Choose sustainable travel
Whether getting to campus or to international conferences, our travel choices can have a big impact on our environmental footprint.
What you can do:
- Walk, cycle, and take public transport to campus – check out our active travel
- Hop on our shuttle bus service between campuses
- Choose trains over planes for conferences where you can. (And check out our postgraduate sustainable travel fund!)
- Quality over quantity – is travel necessary or is a virtual meeting just fine?
What we’re doing:
- Our Sustainable travel policy and active travel programmes are helping the Imperial community make climate-conscious decisions – through guidance, funding schemes and demonstrating best practice at all levels of the university.
Want to take it to the next level?
- Inspire others into climate-conscious travel practices by joining our sustainability Student Ambassadors and Staff Champions
