UK IC Postdoctoral Research Fellowship Programme
The ISST welcomes the launch of the this new initiative and was pleased to contribute to the pre-launch event. It is delivered by the Royal Academy of Engineering with funding from the Government Office for Science.
About
Fully-funded Fellowships for two years in the first instance; an optional third year of research may be funded. The Goverment Office for Science will fund up to £100,000 per year at 80% of Full Economic Costs.
These Fellowships aims to promote unclassified basic research in areas of interest to the intelligence, security and defence community.
Funding is for basic research in areas of interest to the intelligence, security and defence community (see Topics below). Fellows are expected to publish the results of their research in high quality peer reviewed journals.
Eligibility
- Early career researchers from all branches of science and engineering who have up to five years postdoctoral experience.
- There are no nationality restrictions. For applicants from outside of the EU the Host Institution will be responsible for securing the necessary work permits.
- No security vetting is required as part of the Fellowship scheme. However, by applying to this scheme you are agreeing to be vetted if it becomes necessary during the course of the work.

- Advancing direct-write printing methods for the fabrication of electronics on complex surfaces
