Review process

Once your application is submitted, it will be checked by an adminstrator and forwarded to College reviewers. You will receive an email confirming your application number at this stage.

After review, your application will be sent to the next available STAR review panel for consideration. A final decision along with feedback on your application will be emailed to you as soon as possible after the panel.

Outcome of STAR review panels

You will receive the decision of the review panel within 10 working days (unless we contact you otherwise) to your Imperial College email address. You will also receive integrated feedback from the two reviewers of your application.
 
If your application is successful, you can use the following post nominals:

  • AFHEA - Associate Fellow of the Higher Education Academy
  • FHEA - Fellow of the Higher Education Academy
  • SFHEA - Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy

If your application is unsuccessful, you will be given feedback on how you can improve your application. You may be offered a lower level of fellowship than the one you applied for if you meet the criteria for that level. We recommend you contact us in order to discuss the next steps.
