The Control and Power (CAP) Group in the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering at Imperial organised and ran a Summer School on IBR-dominated Power Systems.

The first of it's kind, it provided a holistic view of challenges in future IBR-dominated power systems, covering from device, plant, network to system and from modelling, control, protection, stability, forecasting, optimization to market and reliability.  The event was attended by 63 participants from 26 research and five industry institutions from 14 different countries.

It involved 28 world-leading speakers from 12 different countries.

G-PST, one of our global strategic partners on EPICS gathered our research network for a week-long research and Implementation summit.  It brought together G-PST practitioners and researchers to share progress, results, knowledge and experience.

This workshop, ran by our two global strategic partners ESIG and G-PST, was chaired by Prof Mark O'Malley (EPICS UK PI).  Prof Tim Green chaired a session, Dr Yunjie Gu was a speaker and our post-doctoral researcher Dr Debargha Brahma also attended and will soon be submitting a paper entitled "A Deeper Perspective on IBR-Driven Oscillations".
