The community engagement team act as a bridge between the local community and Imperial staff and students. We support collaboration between the community and the university by providing facilities, project management support and advice to community-university projects.

Andrew works with Imperial’s scientists to design and deliver science focused community events and activities at the Invention Rooms.

Wegahta manages the administration of the public engagement family programme and covers duty management of the Interaction Zone

Dr Melanie Bottrill
Responsibilities
Mel oversees the schools outreach programmes and teams in both the Dangoor Reach Out Makerspace in the Invention Rooms. In South Kensington, she also manages the Access funded programmes, Summer Schools, the Wohl Reach Out Lab and its associated programmes.

Responsibilities
Kate manages all the Maker Challenge programmes in the Dangoor Reach Out Makerspace at the Invention Rooms.

Responsibilities
Richard provides technical and teaching support for the Maker Challenge Programmes.

Rebecca Sweeney
Responsibilities
Rebecca provides programme support and assistance for all makerspace activities and coordinates the recruitment of schools and students for all of the makerspace programmes.

Silje Andersen
Responsibilities
Silje develops and manages interdisciplinary schools outreach and widening participation programmes in White City and South Kensington, including Creative Roots at the Invention Rooms.
