What we do

Technical Production

Our Freelancers enable us to deliver world-class events, from Audio, Video Streaming & Lighting.

Working With Us

The Technical Events Team at Imperial is always on the lookout for new talent to add to our existing pool of established freelance Audio Visual technicians who are the backbone of every event delivered for Imperial. We have technicians from every different audio-visual discipline working together to provide seamless events every day for the Imperial community.

Whilst the roles listed below are how we define our techs, we always love to see technicians who can mix and match these skills and don’t mind helping with different jobs when needed during an event.

Technician Roles & Expectations

We expect all our technicians to understand and be able to work with AVoIP workflows including Dante, NDI & Milan. Specifically; Audio & Venue Technicians should have obtained Dante Level 1 & 2.

Technician Roles & Expectations

Audio Tech

Confident with running live sound and mixing outputs for livestreams and recordings, AVoIP workflows should be understood and experience with d&b audiotechnik products is a bonus.

Camera Op

Confident in setting up, routing and operating cameras for our livestream and recorded events, including adjusting settings where needed to ensure smooth livestreaming and recording outputs.

Vision Mixer

Confident running livestreamed events, mixing content live via our vision mixers and understand the signal flow along with this. Confident in multiple different presentation software and with hybrid style events with remote attendees and speakers is always a bonus.

Lighting Tech

Confident in setting up, programming and operating the range of lighting we have for our events, advising the client on the event on colours and effects and what will look best for their event. Some of our kit is listed below.

General Tech

Audio Visual techs who don’t mind the manual tasks such as setting up stages, rigging truss and setting up exhibition style events such as power requirements and displays.

Venue Tech

A new role for our team is coming soon; as we open our Great Hall in 2027, we are looking to add a set of skilled technicians who are dedicated to support our impressive space. Technicians will need an advanced understanding of all our roles. In addition, they should be able to use d&b Soundscape (by d&b audiotechnik).
