Undergraduate study

The Department of Aeronautics at Imperial College has achieved an outstanding reputation for its research in the aeronautical engineering field. This reputation translates into benefits for its students including excellent equipment, workshops and computing facilities. Besides having talented and enthusiastic staff, the Department maintains close connections with industry. The Department participates in the Undergraduate Research Opportunities Programme UROP scheme.

Our five MEng courses offer the best possible training to enable the development of analytical skills, in addition to gaining familiarity with the latest computational methods. Via laboratory exercises and in-depth projects, analytical predictions are confirmed using experimentally-obtained data. There is therefore an appropriate emphasis on developing experimental techniques using well-equipped laboratories and other facilities.
