The Department of Mathematics is hosting ASA DataFest for the first time. A 48-hour data science hackathon sponsored by the American Statistical Association (ASA).
Who can take part?
Undergraduate Mathematics students and Joint Mathematics and Computing students interested in data science.
What to expect
- Work in teams of 2–5 students
- Tackle a real-world data challenge revealed on Day 1
- Support from PhD students, staff and industry judges
- No registration fee
- Coffee and lunch provided
