Serving as a central information hub for Clinical PhD and MD(Res) fellows, CATO enhances - not replaces - the support already offered within the various Departments, Institutes, Centres and research sections across the Imperial Faculty of Medicine. Acting as a friendly guide through the often complex landscape of doctoral training, CATO provides a range of bespoke activities and resources, while also signposting fellows to further opportunities and services offered by teams across Imperial College.
CATO works closely with Research Degree Managers and other administrative colleagues in local settings to ensure that fellows are kept well informed about the support, guidance and opportunities available to them.
Do bear in mind that everything CATO provides is designed to complement, rather than substitute, the information and support offered by your home department. Clinical PhD Fellows should always begin by consulting their departmental handbooks, induction materials and local expectations to ensure they are meeting all relevant guidelines from the outset.
