We have a vibrant plant sciences research community focusing on molecular mechanisms and environmental interactions to address sustainability and food security. Key areas include plant morphogenesis, CRISPR genome editing, photosynthesis, and plant-pathogen interactions. This research is supported by state-of-the-art facilities for imaging and structural biology with strong links to the Grantham Institute for Climate Change and the Environment, the Imperial School of Convergence Sciences in Sustainability, and the Bezos Centre for Sustainable Protein.
