cableProject title: Covert Communications With Ultra-Low Power
PI: Dr Cong Ling
Department of PI: Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering
Funding agency: UK Government

Summary of project:

We propose novel low-power solutions to secure communications which prevent the unwanted detection of communications signal transmissions. Securing information sent over variable wireless channels is of paramount importance in many applications. Typically this is handled by using various encryption protocols. However, standard cryptographic security may not be sufficient, because the presence of a radio signal already arouses suspicion. Such scenarios require covert communication in the first place.
