As a personal tutor, you are supported by the departmental Senior Tutor who acts as a primary source of support and advice for personal tutors.

There are a range of health and wellbeing services you can access including support for mental and physical health, stress management and professional development. You can find links to these resources on the Health and Wellbeing pages.

People and Organisational Development (POD) aims to support all staff at Imperial to work in a healthy environment that helps them flourish. The team hosts a suite of courses, events and resources to support wellbeing at work including dealing with stress, mental health awareness and links to equality, diversity and inclusion (EDI).

The Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Centre (EDIC) is a dedicated team to support staff and make Imperial a better place to work by promoting EDI. EDIC offers guidance, training and support including neurodiversity awareness, active bystander training and unconscious bias training. The team also work towards mainstreaming EDI by listening and talking to staff.

Imperial is committed to promoting a university environment where everyone is treated with respect and courtesy. This includes eliminating all forms of discrimination, especially direct and indirect forms of harassment, bullying and victimisation. The full harrassment, bullying and victimisation policy can be found on the Human Resources webpages.

You are encouraged to raise any issues with their Senior Tutor, Line Manager, Head of Department or a trusted colleague. Imperial uses the Report and Support tool which allows individuals to disclose unwelcome behaviours. You can use the tool if they have witnessed an incident, or experienced bullying or harassment directly. You can also disclose anonymously or provide your details to be put in contact with someone. The harassment and bullying webpage has further information on where individuals can get support.
