External links

Linking to external websites (any site not within the Imperial T4 system) requires the hyperlink button. Remember to tell it to open in a new window, and not to use 'click here' as a label for the link - rather indicate with a phrase or short sentence where the link will take the user and make that the link.
Bad example: for further info click here.

Good example: for further information please see the King's College London website.

Internal links

Internal links are any links that happen between two Imperial T4 pages. The T4 system refers to them as section links, and they require the section link button.
For instance, linking to the Imperial College London Human Resources page would be an internal link.

A link to a media library document looks like this - Test document number 2 (pdf)

Frequently asked questions

How do I get to South Kensington Campus?

We advise using public transport to travel to campus, as parking in the area is extremely limited. There is no public parking on campus and parking around the campus is very expensive due to its central London location.

The nearest Underground station is South Kensington, on the District, Circle and Piccadilly lines. From South Kensington Station, the campus is only a five minute walk. Either follow the subway signposted to the museums or walk north up Exhibition Road. The College is next to the Science Museum.

Can I apply for more than one programme?

For undergraduate programmes, you can choose up to five courses to apply to through UCAS. If you are applying for Medicine, four of these can be medical programmes and your fifth choice must be in a different area (for example Biomedicine). You can use all your choices to apply to different programmes at Imperial if you so wish. We would advise you carefully read the entry requirements on the departmental webpages before submitting your choices through UCAS, as, once you have submitted your application, these cannot be changed.

For postgraduate programmes you can apply for up to two programmes per admissions cycle. Your applications will be considered sequentially so it is important to list your preferred programme as your first choice and your reserve programme as your second choice. Your second choice application will only be considered if you are unsuccessful at gaining a place on your first choice programme. Please note you can only submit one application form and you are able to list both your choices through there.
