RichardRichard Williams joined the Imperial BRC Genomics Facility as Lead Bioinformatician in August 2018. He has a BSc in Biochemistry from Lancaster University, and a PhD from the University of Warwick, where he studied gene regulation in Adenovirus and HIV-1. He continued to work on viral gene regulation as a postdoc at Oxford, then specialised in the genomic correlates of outcome in childhood renal tumours at the Institute of Cancer Research and the UCL Institute of Child Health. At the Genomics Facility, he works on a range of projects requiring custom analysis of sequencing data, and maintains an active collaboration with cancer researchers at UCL.
