Broaden your network!

Networking

The online summer school provides a unique opportunity to not only learn from but discuss interesting topics with world leading academics who provide teaching and guest lectures on the course. It's a great way to learn more about the subjects you are interested in and form professional connections with key people from within the biomedicine field. Learning sessions are interactive and you'll benefit from academics drawing out your thoughts and ideas to build your confidence and presentation skills. Furthermore, through meeting these particular academics you may develop an interest in an idea that's new to you, which can then form part of your portfolio assessment and possibly further studies.

Alongside this, you will have the opportunity to speak to current postgraduate students within the Faculty of Medicine at Imperial. This is a great way to network and gain a real insight into what life as an Imperial student looks like. There will be informal drop-in sessions to talk about anything, as well as more structured sessions where current students will give their handy tips and tricks for CVs and applications.

Social Activities

Social activities are woven throughout the timetable for the online summer school including ice-breaker activities, fun bioscience related games and quizzes. This gives you the chance to get to know your fellow classmates from all over the world and take your friendships to the international level!

There is also a graduation ceremony event on the final day of the online summer school, where you'll have the opportunity to celebrate all of your learning and development throughout the course.
