Prof Eduard Feireisl (Institute of Mathematics, Czech Academy of Sciences, Prague) will be visiting the Mathematics Department in April 2022 and he will hold a few lectures.

E. Feireisl is a distinguished researcher working at the Institute of Mathematics, Czech Academy of Sciences in Prague. He became a professor of Faculty of Mathematics and Physics, Charles University in Prague in 2011. His other appointments and professional activities, including major international grants and prizes.

E. Feireisl's research expertise includes partial differential equations, infinite-dimensional dynamical systems, and mathematical fluid dynamics. He is an esteemed conference speaker and an editor in some of the best journals in Mathematical Analysis. His outstanding record of publications consist of 6 monographs, 17 chapters in monographs, and 275 articles in peer reviewed journals. He is one of world's experts in the mathematical theory of deterministic and stochastic.
