Cardiovascular disease remains a major global health challenge, accounting for more than one in four deaths in the UK. Our research addresses this challenge by uncovering the mechanisms that drive disease, identifying new therapeutic opportunities and developing innovative approaches to prevention, diagnosis and treatment.
Bringing together expertise across molecular and cellular biology, engineering, data science and clinical research enables us to translate discovery into real-world impact – improving understanding of disease and delivering tangible benefits for patients and healthcare systems.
Our work spans:
- Cardiac electrophysiology and arrhythmia
- Imaging and diagnostics
- Stem cell and regenerative medicine
- Computational and data-driven cardiology
- Cardiovascular immunology
