Standard templates
A consultancy agreement would be signed when one party is acting as a consultant, rather than an employee, for another. For example, if Imperial was hiring an external company to provide specified deliverables, after which the company’s work for Imperial would end. The consultancy agreement would lay out the exact work to be completed, by what deadline(s), and how much the consultant would be paid (among other things).
