We have a range of bursaries and scholarships available for talented undergraduate students for 2026-entry. We encourage you to read the full eligibility and application procedure as it will vary depending on the award.
Students can only receive one bursary or scholarship from the Department of Aeronautics.

Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS Scholarship
In partnership with the Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS Formula One team, we are excited to launch the Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS Scholarship, created to increase opportunities into motorsport for under-represented groups.
The scholarship will support talented aspiring Aeronautical Engineers in the Department of Aeronautics where our undergraduate students study the breadth of aerospace engineering disciplines in addition to gaining computational and analytical skills, and the knowledge and experience required in industries such as motorsport.
Throughout the course of their degree, the scholar will have the opportunity to meet Mercedes team members and gain expert insight that will supplement their education.
Value: Full tuition fees and a living allowance for four years. Our five-year degrees for MEng Aeronautical Engineering with a year abroad and MEng Aeronautical Engineering with a year in industry can be supported, but funding will only be available for the four academic years taught full-time at Imperial.
Number of scholarships available: One for 2026-entry for MEng Aeronautical Engineering
Eligibility: Home students from one of the following under-represented groups:
- Be or identify as a female or;
- Be a student of Black heritage, whose ethnic heritage matches one of the following (or their equivalent in the respective application systems): Black – African; Black – Caribbean; Black – Other; Mixed – White and Black African; Mixed – White and Black Caribbean; Other Mixed background – including Black African, Black Caribbean or Other Black background or;
- Qualify for Imperial’s contextual admissions schemes.

We will send communications to offer-holders including full details of this scholarship, a scholarship application form along with details of other funding opportunities.

If you are successful in receiving the scholarship, as part of the terms and conditions, you must choose Imperial College London as your firm choice via UCAS to be eligible for this award.
Faculty of Engineering Kentfield Scholarships
Five scholarships are available from the Faculty of Engineering for Home students studying one of our undergraduate engineering degrees, including Aeronautical Engineering.
Value: £15,000 bursary per academic year for up to four years. Scholarship amount will be reduced if the awardee is in receipt of the Imperial Bursary to cap the total funding to average of upper cost of living band.
Eligibility: To be eligible, candidates must have attained the conditions below by Friday, 30th May 2025:
- Have an offer of admissions from the College to study a three-year or four-year full-time undergraduate course in the Faculty of Engineering starting in autumn 2025;
- Possess a Home fee status;
- Qualify for Imperial's contextual admissions route.
