Imperial College London’s work is supported by communicators in a variety of roles in numerous locations across its campuses.

The central Communications Division leads on university-level communications and media relations, but there are also a number of embedded communicators supporting Imperial’s faculties, institutes and research projects too.

Communicators may be involved in one or all of these activities: creating news stories, stakeholder engagement, staff or student communications, content creation, website management, event organisation, media relations, design, videography, photography, marketing and managing social media platforms.

All staff in a communications role are encouraged to join the Communications Network for professional development, sharing best practice across disciplines, operational support and networking. There are also more specialised networks you can join as well including the Internal Communications Network and Social Media Group for staff responsible for these types of communication.
